I am an arts educator for youth throughout a number of organisations in Vancouver, BC. I teach classes and intensives as an instructor at Arts Umbrella; lead tours and deliver workshops as an educator at the Vancouver Art Gallery; and coordinated family programs at the Polygon Gallery.

Classes I have taught include drawing & painting, mixed media, sculpture, cartooning, and printmaking. I also teach a contemporary art teen intensive which builds a foundational understanding of contemporary art through artist-led workshops, studio visits, and collaborative experimental project building. I have worked with every youth age group from 3-5 years old to advanced 13-19 years old. Within a gallery context, I work closely with themes, ideas, and materials that are present within the exhibitions on site.

In my educational practice, the ethos of contemporary art is one that is present, important, and intuitively known by everyone. It is a critical and creative engagement with our shared experiences. I believe in an inclusive educational approach which any age group or social spheres can access.
